Delhiites witnessed a hot sunny day with mercury touching a maximum mark of 42.2 degrees Celsius, five notches above normal.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 31.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal.
With no rainfall, the humidity fluctuated between 55 per cent and 29 per cent, said a Meteorological official.
The weatherman forecast a partly cloudy sky for tomorrow with the maximum temperature touching at 41 degrees Celsius and minimum touching at 32 degrees Celsius.
"There may be some respite from the scorching heat by June 27 due to pre-monsoon showers," he said.
Yesterday, the minimum and maximum temperatures were recorded at 31.6 and 42.5 degrees Celsius respectively.
