Waterlogging in parts of Delhi after rains

Waterlogging was reported at several places in the national capital after rains lashed the city today albeit bringing some relief to people from the summer heat.
In north Delhi, Sector 11 at Rohini and in east Delhi Madhu Vihar areas were waterlogged, according to civic bodies.
"We received complaints in our control room from these two areas. No complaint has been received from rest of the areas," a senior official of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation said.
"Our teams, comprising members from different departments, rushes to the spot as soon as we receive complaints," he said.
According to East Delhi Municipal Corporation, work to clear waterlogged areas was still going on in Madhu Vihar- Mandawali area, and expected to be completed soon.
The city received heavy rains in the morning and minor showers in the evening, making the weather pleasant, but parts of south Delhi reported waterlogging till afternoon.
Waterlogging complaints were received from places in Najafgarh, Kalkaji, Chhatarpur, Malviya Nagar and Neb Serai.
But, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation, said, the water was cleared by evening from all parts.
SDMC also reported tree falling incidents in Vasant Vihar, Neb Serai and Green Park extension areas, which again it said, were removed by evening time.
EDMC had one small incident of a tree branch falling.
