"If Anand comes to Kolkata, it will be an occasion to boost morale of the sportspersons in the state. We will organise a colourful reception for him", West Bengal Sports minister Madan Mitra told reporters.
Stating that he has telephonically congratulated Anand on behalf of the state government for his historic feat, Mitra said "I told him that we are really proud of you".
Chief minister Mamata Banerjee has already congratulated Anand on May 30.
