We don't expect anything from India: Pak leader

The leader said Pakistan bashing is still going on in India

A senior leader from Pakistan's ruling party and Member National Assembly (MNA), Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan, today said they do not expect anything from India, lamenting that even "small issues" like Siachen and Sir Creek still remain unresolved.

The Parliamentary Secretary for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs and leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, said, "Pakistan bashing is still going on in India".

"It is not by any design that we don't like India. It is the hopelessness of the situation and I think that is the tragedy between our two nations," he told reporters here.

Khan, along with some other delegates from Pakistan, was here today to participate in 'India-Pakistan Legislators and Public Officials Dialogue on Sharing of Experiences on Governance and Democracy'.

When asked if India was not on Pakistan's focus any longer, he said, "That's right, it is a hopeless situation, I mean we would not like to continue wasting time. Our politics sustains on the plank that we would like to keep the differences alive, we would not like to give them up.

"But we would not like to waste our time, we have already lost a lot of development indicators and we should try to do economic revival of Pakistan, economic improvement of Pakistan without expecting anything from India," he said.

The participants included practitioners and subject- experts from the two countries, Shiromani Akali Dal MP Prem Singh Chandumajra and Dr G S Kalkat, Chairman of Punjab Farmers Commission.
