"Yes, we were short by 15 runs. We needed 145 runs. We got a good start but we lost wickets and kept losing wickets. I stuck it out there and Samuel Badree batted really well in the last over," Ramdin said at the post-match press conference here.
Asked about how much motivation the players derived from Brian Lara's presence during the match, Ramdin said he advised the Caribbean cricketers to stay there on the wicket.
Asked whether the two crucial important wickets of Sunil Narine was the turning point of the match, he said: "I believe his two wickets pulled us out. He bowled really well. We wanted wickets at that situation. And we had (Ravi) Rampaul (4/14) finish it off."
He praised Rampaul did his job well after recovering from an ankle injury.
