According to police, the girl came home today and told family that she was manhandled by the youth.
When her family members went to confront the youth, she hanged herself, police said.
A case against the youth has been registered and police has launched a man-hunt to nab him.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a woman was allegedly raped by an X-ray technician in Tambore area, police said.
The incident occurred this afternoon when the woman has gone for a test at the centre, they said.
