Daring the BJP to form government in Delhi, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal today said that his party will fiercely oppose any such move by the saffron party if it used "ill-means" to come to power.
Addressing a jan sabha in the Bawana assembly segment, Kejriwal attacked the Narendra Modi-led government and said the BJP was becoming the B-team of the Congress.
"When the BJP says there is a wave then why dont they conduct elections in Delhi. Why are they afraid?
"Let the BJP form the government through illegal means, we will oppose it tooth and nail. We will not allow subversion of the constitution under any circumstances," the former Delhi Chief Minister said.
Kejriwal said that the BJP was trying every trick in the book to form the government and was indulging in horse-trading. Early this week, it released a sting in which BJP's Delhi unit vice-president was purportedly offering Rs 4 crore to an AAP legislator.
Speaking on the issue of the e-rickshaws that have been banned, he attacked the BJP for running the Delhi government through back doors. The e-rickshaws have been banned by the Delhi High Court.
"The other day e-rickshaw drivers had come to meet me at my Kaushambi residence. They were crying and saying that they had no option, but to die as they did not have any livelihood to feed their families.
"E-rickshaws were banned in Delhi due to government's inaction. Nitin Gadkari misled the e-rickshaw drivers on June 17 in the Ramlila Maidan by saying he will come up with a policy on this in a month, but nothing has been done. I have sought an appointment Gadkari, who is minister in charge. Waiting for his response," Kejriwal said.
