The campaign was also launched today and will conclude onMarch eight.
The Department has lined up various events leading up to March eight which is the International Women's Day, said the Secretary RM&DD, D R Nepal while addressing a press conference.
The week-long campaign is being jointly implemented and monitored by the Rural Management and Development Department and the Social Justice Empowerment and Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim.
As per the directions from the Union Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation, the Department is carrying out varied activities such as honouring women sanitation champions at District, Block and Gram Panchayat level, screening of film on Women and Swachhta, sports programmes for girls and women.
