"Western countries and the US are responsible for terrorism as they have given birth to it. They are now making a hue and cry after facing attacks," he told reporters here.
"Muslims are not terrorists. The US and Britain have given birth to terrorism and are now facing it," he said, adding "Their creations are attacking them, so why are they raising a hue and cry?"
On the Kashmir issue with Pakistan, the National Conference leader said, "It could be resolved by talks and not through fight. We have earlier fought four battles but the dispute is not resolved."
Talking about separatist Hurriyat leaders in Kashmir, Abdullah said, "They too are funded."
He also suggested that there should be no cow slaughter. "If a community objects to it, it should not be done," he said, days after beef controversy hit parts of the country.
Abdullah also recited 'Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram' from the stage and regaled the audience gathered at the 'Kalki Mahotsava'.
