Procurement target for Haryana was fixed at 65 lakh tonnes.
The purchase was also more than 62,90,874 tonnes of wheat procured up to the same day last year, official spokesman said.
"Wheat procurement is 2,17,612 tonnes higher as compared to the procurement made up to same day last year," he said.
He said out of the total arrival of 65,08,486 tonnes this year, 65,08,064 tonnes of crop has been procured by government procuring agencies on Minimum Support Price and remaining 422 metric tonnes was mopped up by the traders.
Because of freak weather conditions in March and April this year, wheat crop at about 13 lakh acres of are got damaged in Haryana.
As per special girdawari report, 3.17 lakh acres suffered 76 per cent to 100 per cent damage, 1.92 lakh acres faced 51 to 75 per cent damage and 8.24 lakh acres of wheat area witnessed suffered 25 per cent to 50 per cent damage.
