The Sub-Himalayan districts of West Bengal are likely to receive fairly widespread rain till September 10, the weatherman said.
The districts in Gangetic West Bengal may receive scattered rains during the period.
The metropolis received 12.5 mm rainfall in 24 hours till 8.30 AM this morning.
There was little or no rainfall recorded in other parts of the state, the Met department said.
High relative humidity caused discomfort among citizens, which is likely to continue for the next few days.
