Will move no-trust motion against Speaker tomorrow, says YSRC

Despite having lost the motion of no-confidence it moved today against the Chandrababu Naidu-led government in Andhra Pradesh, the lone opposition party-- YSR Congress-- said that it would move a similar motion against Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao.
"We didn't get justice in the House today. Hence, we have decided to move a no-confidence motion against the Speaker tomorrow," Leader of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy said after the proceedings were adjourned for the day.
The no-confidence motion against the government was comprehensively defeated by voice vote around 9.30 pm after nearly nine hours of debate.
The Speaker immediately moved to the next item on the agenda and asked YSRC member Rajendranath Reddy to initiate the general discussion on the Budget 2016-17.

Even as Rajendranath was about to start, his party colleagues stormed the Speaker's podium demanding a division of votes on the no-confidence motion, but Sivaprasada Rao turned it down.
"We have already closed the subject (no-confidence). There is no question of re-opening it," the Speaker said.

Legislative Affairs Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu objected to the YSRC's demand saying they should have sought a division of votes immediately after the Speaker took the voice vote.
Government whip K Ravi Kumar then formally initiated the discussion on the Budget after which the House was adjourned for the day.
Accusing the Speaker of acting in a partisan manner, the YSRC later said it would move a no-confidence motion against the former.
