A woman has alleged that she was beaten up by the police here following a complaint against her even though officials have rejected her claim.
The woman, a resident of A C Nagar, has alleged that she was taken to Kotwali police station over a theft complaint and was later beaten by the police team.
However, SHO Kotwali police station, Bharat Singh rejected the claims made by the woman.
He said the person who had filed the complaint had himself dropped her at police station and the woman was injured at that time and was taken to a hospital by the police staff.
