Woman, father-in-law found dead in Raj

A 35-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her father-in-law, who later committed suicide in Rajasthan's Churu district, police said today.
The incident came to light this morning when a relative went to their house and found the woman, identified as, Patasi Devi lying dead and father-in-law Sohanram (59) hanging from the ceiling of the room, police said.
Prima facie it appears that the woman was murdered by Sohanram as injury marks were found on her body, after which he committed suicide, they said.
The incident took place last night when the husband of the woman had gone out for some work, police added.

The matter is under investigation. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, they said.
