Woman found dead at home, family alleges dowry death

A woman was found hanging at her house in the Bisnda area here though her family claimed she was killed over dowry, the police said today.
The incident took place in Kairi village yesterday. The body of Vashuda (20) was found hanging in her room.
Her family members alleged her in-laws would harass her for dowry. She was strangled to death and later hanged.
The body has been sent for postmortem.
An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC and the matter is being probed, the police said.
