The body of Koilee Kumawat was found in a half naked state and the killers had hammered her head, they said.
She was a widow and her only son used to live in Mumbai, they said.
The body was sent for postmortem and forensic experts were called to investigate, they said, adding that the reason of the murder was yet to be ascertained.
The incident took place in Saraimohalla area of the town.
