The victim, identified as Jai Devi (24) hanged herself at her in-laws house after she was allegedly beaten for dowry, they said.
On complaint of victim's father, Panchlal Yadav, police has registered an FIR against her husband Jaiprakash Yadav and arrested him in a dowry case.
Her father alleged that Devi was married to Jaiprakash two years ago and they had a one-year-old son.
Since marriage her husband was harassing her for dowry, he alleged.
