A 20-year-old man and his aunt were killed when their motorcycle was hit by a dumper near Narangpur which comes under the jurisdiction of Patti Kotwali police station today, an official said.
Rahul Verma was going along with his aunt Madhuri Devi (22) when a dumper coming from the opposite direction hit them, killing both of them on the spot, ASP (east) Rakesh Singh said.
The dumper driver fled from the spot, leaving the vehicle behind, the ASP said.
The bodies were later sent for postmortem, he added.
