Young couple attempts suicide, girl dies

A young couple allegedly attempted suicide by jumping in front of a train, leading to the death of the girl, police said today.
The girl, aged between 18 and 20, died on the spot, while the youth was admitted to Hallet hospital in serious condition, Inspector GRP said.
The relationship between the two was not immediately known as the youth was not in a condition to speak, he said.
