The 7-year-old girl, resident of Patelwadi in Malwani, went missing on May 23, and her body was found near a creek in INS Hamla area the same night.
Medical examination had revealed that she was raped and then murdered.
The police zeroed in on some men in the surrounding areas and had sent their blood samples to forensic lab for DNA analysis.
"We received the FSL report yesterday and DNA profile of Sadalu Saroj matched with the blood found on girl's clothes," a police officer said.
A court today remanded him in police custody till July 11. Further probe is on.
