The accused identified as Intazar, was arrested yesterday after he confessed his crime. The pistol used by him for killing the victim was also recovered from his possession, DSP SP Sharma told reporters here.
The 24-year-old victim, who had eloped with her lover, was shot dead allegedly by her brother after she returned home in Loee village of the district on July 30. The family was opposed to the girl's relationship with the boy.
