Youth mowed down by bus; locals damage vehicles in protest

A 16-year-old youth was today crushed to death by a bus on Meerut-Pauri road under Incholi police station of the district here sparking violent protest by locals, police said.
Ashraf, resident of Aurgangabad village in the district, was run over by a bus at around 10 am in the morning, they said.
Furious over the incident, locals damaged several buses and blocked traffic for around two hours following which police rushed to the spot and pacified the mob.
The bus has been seized and a case has been registered against the driver, police said.
