Food Supplies Minister Haroon Yusuf said he has told officials of his department to provide "top most" priority on implementation of the scheme.
Seemed unhappy over slow implementation of the scheme, he said 1.5 lakh families have already been provided LPG connections and he wants the department to cover all the beneficiaries within next couple of months.
"The Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd have been working in tandem," he said.
An amount of Rs 115 crore was set aside to implement the scheme.
Yusuf said so far 12 assembly segments have been made fully kerosene-free.
The supply of kerosene has been stopped to these assembly segments from this month. 40 more Assembly segments will be made fully kerosene free by next month.
