"We have recorded the statement of BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel," said Krishna Prakash, Additional Commissioner of Police, adding that his statement was recorded as Zinta had told him, among others, about the alleged incident.
The 39-year-old actress filed a police complaint on June 12 alleging that she was molested by Wadia (44) at the Wankhede Stadium here on May 30 during the IPL match between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings.
Meanwhile, police is also probing the threat calls received by the secretary of Ness's father, Nusli Wadia, allegedly from the fugitive gangster Ravi Pujari.
Police suspect an insider's hand in sharing the secretary's number with the gangster.
Following the threat calls and a text message from Pujari, Mumbai police on Wednesday deployed an armed contingent outside the Wadias' corporate office 'Wadia International Centre' in Lower Parel area.
