Reuters Market Eye - The BSE Sensex and Nifty edged lower on Wednesday as investors remained cautious ahead of the expiry of November equity derivatives on Thursday.
The benchmark BSE Sensex and the broader Nifty were 0.16 percent lower at 12:48 p.m.
Bajaj Auto fell 1.67 percent while Bharti Airtel was down 1.98 percent after Nigeria devalued naira and raises rates.
Shares in Zee Entertainment slumped 4.79 percent after MSCI inclusion-related buying ended, said traders.
Caution also prevailed ahead of September-quarter GDP data due on Friday and the Reserve Bank of India's policy review on Dec. 2.
Worries parliament would delay an insurance bill and new rules for offshore derivatives also weighed on sentiment.
