Bajaj Tempo Lets Loose Gurkha On Sierra, Safari

Bajaj Tempo is set to launch the turbocharged version of its general purpose vehicle Trax. The new Tempo Trax Gurkha, will have the four-wheel drive option. Trax is powered by an engine designed by Mercedes Benz, and is known for its reliability. The 2399cc, four cylinder indirect injection diesel motor now generates 90 bhp at 4200 rpm compared with the 65 bhp of the normally aspirated version. On show at Auto Expo are two examples of the turbocharged Gurkhas, wearing both civilian and army colours. Telco had recently launched the turbocharged version of its Sierra Sports Utility Vehicle followed by the all new Safari, which is a equipped SUV. The Safari also features all wheel drive. The Trax Gurkha is expected to cost Rs 4 lakh.
