Bunka Orient Corporation (BOC) of Japan has chosen India to set up its third software company worldwide. The new company, Bunka Orient India, a 60:40 joint venture between the Japanese company and its Indian partner AOI International, will set up a 100 per cent export oriented software development unit and a R&D centre for BOC, near Delhi.

It entails an initial investment of Rs 3 crore.BOC is a leading supplier of Active X components and the products of the company are widely used to help build better Windows applications at a lower cost. The company is also a Microsoft Solution Provider supplying client/server and Internet/Intranet systems based on Microsoft Windows.

And the Microsoft BackOffice family of products.

AOI was incorporated in 1995 and its directors have been liaison representatives to India for Japanese companies for many years.
