Facebook has appointed Pulkit Trivedi as industry director for e-commerce, retail, travel and financial services verticals

Facebook has appointed Pulkit Trivedi as industry director for e-commerce, retail, travel and financial services verticals. He will be responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with clients. He has over 18 years of industry experience with expertise in sales, business development and partnerships. Trivedi has worked with Indian and multinational technology companies such as Google, Intel, Microsoft, IBM and HCL. He is an MBA from BITS Mesra.

Talking business

Bidisha Nagaraj, group president marketing at Coffee Day Group, has quit to join Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation as the chief marketing officer. She has also worked at Google, Intel, Compaq and Lintas in her 20-year plus career as a marketing professional.

Media mandate

Cadini, the Italian premium fabric brand has appointed social media agency, Utopian Media, to manage their digital and social media mandate. Utopian Media won this account following a multi-agency pitch.
The agency will handle the brand’s digital, creative and media duties, and also manage its social media presence.

Xaxis, a global programmatic media and technology platform has elevated Nicolas Bidon as the company’s global president. he is suceeding Brian Gleason who is moving to GroupM’s (m) PLATFORM as global chief executive officer (CEO).Bidon was previously CEO, EMEA at Xaxis where he led operations across the company’s 25 markets in the region. He helped drive growth for Xaxis specialist companies like Light Reaction, Bannerconnect and plista.  Earlier, he was global CEO of plista, Xaxis’ programmatic native unit. Before that he was managing director, UK for the company where he led three years of high double digit growth, establishing the UK as the company’s second largest market globally.
