Haryana Hikes Sugarcane Prices

The Haryana government yesterday announced a Rs 2per quintal hike in prices of three varieties of sugarcane for the current crushing season.

The prices have been fixed at Rs 82, Rs 80 and Rs 78 per quintal for the early, mid and late varieties respectively,an official spokesman said.

He said the rates were highest in the country and at par with those announced by the Punjab government.
