Karunakaran Hurt In Road Mishap

Congress leader K Karunakaran yesterday suffered injury in his forehead and a fracture on his left hand when his car collided with a lorry in Keralas Thrissur district yesterday morning, police said. The head injury was not serious, family sources said. The accident occurred at Perinjanam when the former CM was on way to Guruvayoor to offer prayers at the Sri Krishna temple. Karunakaran was rushed to a nearby private hospital at Chalakkudy. Later, he was taken to Ernakulam following detection of head injury, police said.
