Khalap Elected

Ramakant Khalap, Union minister of state for law and judiciary was re-elected chairman of the Mapusa Urban Cooperative Bank, a leading cooperative bank in Goa. The bank has now been granted multi-state status as it has branches in Daman and Diu. Plans are to open branches in Mumbai and Karwar, a bank spokesman said.
