Lotus Synergy has launched Linguaphone language teaching courses in Mumbai and Pune in association with Linguaphone Institute, a $50 million UK-based company . Linguaphone is also negotiating with the British Council in India for providing language proficiency certificates to its users. It may also launch its services on the web.
The Mumbai-based Lotus Synergy will have exclusive marketing rights to Linguaphones products and will directly market them to companies and individuals. The company currently has a 65-strong field force in Mumbai and about 50 in Pune. It will add 21 more cities to its operations later.
The company expects to sell 25,000 courses in the first year.
