Mp Sets Rabi Crop Target At 12.4mt

Madhya Pradesh has set a target of 12.389 million tonnes of rabi crops in the state this year. The state plans to bring 96.85 lakh hectares area under rabi crops, which is 5.7 per cent more than the previous years target when the rabi production had reached 11.714 million tonnes mark. The area will be 0.6 per cent more than that covered under the rabi crops last year. The Centre has allotted 720,000 tonnes of urea to state for 1997-98.
