Australia beat India by 21 runs in the third and final ODI of the three-match series to get hold of the ODI series and also the number one ranking in ODIs. Chasing a target of 270, India lost wickets at regular intervals and even after a fifty by Virat Kohli and some impressive hitting by Hardik Pandya, could not get through the Aussie total, eventually finishing at 248 in 49.1 overs. 

 

Earlier in the morning, after winning the toss and deciding to bat first, Australia managed to get to 269/10 in 49 overs. There was no serious contribution from a single batter, but all of them did manage to put on a decent cameo to get to a respectful total eventually.

Rohit was furious with Kuldeep after the replays.
