Agilent Technologies, provider of measurement sciences in the segments of electronic and bio-analyticals is in the process of building a campus near Manesar in Haryana which is set to be ready by 2009. Spread over 10 acres, this will be one of Agilent's largest campuses worldwide.

"With operations in India now having reached a critical mass, investing in a state-of-the-art campus was the next logical step for Agilent. Agilent in India has over 1,500 professionals engaged in a wide range of high value-added activities that include cutting edge research and development work, engineering & IT services, global business support and financial services for the global operations of the company," said Venkatesh Valluri, President and Country General Manager, Agilent Technologies.

Agilent has offices in Gurgaon, Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.

The new campus will include 200,000 sq ft of building space in the initial phase. The campus is designed to host a number of state-of-the-art facilities to aid in developing global R&D technology programmes, financial and business processes, said Valluri.

He also added that Agilent will be investing $35 million over the next two years in not only creating the requisite infrastructure, but also in recruiting, training and deploying the best talent to support its global markets.
