Ambletek, a software solutions outsourcing and consulting services company, announced the launch of its People Supply Chain Model post-acquisition of ASAP Infosystems, a Bangalore-based IT staffing company.

This new model will address the specific concerns of talent shortage and improving utilisation rates by providing a captive bench on demand. Through this acquisition, the existing staffing contract will move to the new entity.

ASAP Infosystems will be part of Ambletek but function as an independent company and the parent company will focus on the new model apart from its banking solutions business Ambletek Solutions within one year of incorporation is hiring and deploying about 1,000 people in 2008 and has plans to double that number next year.

"The new initiative under Managing People Supply Chain will focus on providing a captive bench on various technologies such as SAP, Oracle Apps and IBM MQ," Kannan Ramaswamy, founder CEO of Ambletek Solutions, said.

The plan is to hire about 1,000 people for the period April '08- March '09 and then scale up to 5,000 by December 2010.

The captive bench will be deployed with large IT companies on projects for a pre-agreed duration. It is believed that Ambletek is in advance stage of discussion with a large Indian IT company to win its first contract from this model.
