Botree Software International Ltd, Chennai-based down stream supply chain management (SCM) solutions firm, is planning to add customer relations management (CRM) solutions to its product offering.

This is in line with the company's plans to foray into other verticals like automobiles and white goods as these verticals would call for after-sales service models. "Our next level is CRM. The CRM solutions would help identify right customers and their buying patterns," Shyam Sundar Narayanan, vice president " operations, Botree Software told Business Standard.

"We hope to rope in more clients with this solution," he said, adding that the company would add CRM solutions to its flagship SCM product Stocky, under which the company now offers a whole range of products in the areas of distributor automation, C&F automation, middleware solutions (web-based), sales force automation (using Handheld devices) and integration with ERP systems.

Narayanan said its customer retention has been 96 per cent and its SCM solutions have helped top FMCG and other vertical companies to achieve a significant increase in sales.

At present, over 3500 distributor houses across the country are running its product Stocky. The company's clientele includes reputed names in the segments like FMCG, pharmaceuticals & mobile verticals like Johnson & Johnson, Nestle, Hindustan Lever, Marico Industries, Philips, Procter & Gamble, L'Oreal, Godrej Industries and Godrej Sara Lee, among others.

Implementation of Stocky distributor automation solution has helped save cost and time for both the companies and their stockists by at least 35 percent. HLL buys the IPR of Stocky and makes it a part of its IT initiative for distributor automation pan India, he said.

Botree is also doing pilot projects for Kaya Skin Clinic, Dabur and Eveready. The company hopes to double its present revenue of Rs 5 crore during next fiscal. About 40-50 per cent of its revenue comes from the existing customers.
