The centre, located at Vanenberg IT Park, is equipped with a 90-seat call centre, and a software development team working on Siebel solutions for its global clients. |
This is the fourth centre for C3i and the first outside the US. It has its headquarters in New York, and two centres in New Jersey state. |
Joel Morse, the CEO and co-founder of C3i, said that it had been envisaged to ramp up India operations over the next few years, adding several hundred jobs at its global operations centre here. |
Declining to reveal the numbers, he said the investment by C3i in India would involve several million dollars. |
On the reasons for choosing India for the offshore centre, the C3i chief executive said the country had a vast pool of highly skilled labour, good infrastructure facilities, excellent corporate services and a supportive government. Besides, India had also been chosen from the view point of cost structure. |
Morse said C3i, which was rated by Inc as one of the fastest growing companies in the year 2003, offers end-to-end services from business consulting, systems implementation, to asset management, end-user help desk and outsourced managed services. |
The company is currently helping several companies to design, build, deploy and manage analytical environments based on the best-in-class business intelligence tools and applications. |
It has among its clients over 30 pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical products companies in US. It provides support to over 30,000 pharmaceutical sales representatives through 26 account teams, the C3i chief executive officer said. |
