CSS sets up subsidiary in Australia

Cybernet Software Systems (CSS) group, a US-headquartered IT services group having offshore facilities in Chennai, has announced setting up of CSS Australia Pty Ltd, a 100 per cent subsidiary in Australia and expects to acquire six clients in the first year of its operations.
 
Stating that Australia is a mature IT market, Shiva Ramani, co-founder, CSS Group said, in a release, "Our plan is to target several high potential segments and there is a big market for software testing and support services in Australia."
 
"We believe that Australia has the potential to be our largest market in the Asia Pacific region and we hope to make it the hub of Asia Pacific operations. We expect Australia to eventually contribute 10 per cent of the CSS group's service revenue," he added.
 
CSS has opened a full-fledged office in Melbourne and the Australian subsidiary will focus on acquiring clients in BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance), manufacturing, telecom and retail verticals.
 
Presently, CSS has presence in US, UK, Singapore and India.
 
The group has also announced its plans to scale up its present headcount of 3000 professionals, employed in its offshore facilities in India, to over 6000 in the next 12-18 months.
 
CSS Group, which provides strategic IT services to technology providers and enterprises, has four companies under its fold that include SlashSupport (technology support), ReadyTestGo(software testing), CSS Inc. (software services) and Synaptris(software products).
