far from gizmos. So he takes his passion to another level as he figures out how to fly his radio-controlled helicopter and dreams of inventing a gadget, which, not surprisingly, sounds too good to be true.

What's one of the first gadgets you bought that you still have?

I bought an iPAQ palm-top seven or eight years ago and I still have it with me. But now all those functionalities I find in a mobile phone and hence I don't use it.

Is there a gadget that still puzzles you?

My radio-controlled helicopter. I need a clear and large space to fly this helicopter, and landing and lift-off and manoeuvring are very difficult. I am still learning how to control it.

What one gadget is an all-in-one favourite?

My current favourite is my BlackBerry 8310. It's got a good camera and a good Facebook client, so I can always upload pictures, update status easily and be in touch with my circle. I check all my business mails and personal mails on it, so all in all it's a perfect "all-in-one" for me currently.

What gizmo would you love to gift?

The Nintendo Wii, to my daughter.

If you could invent one gadget, what would it be?

A gadget which is a combination of PlayStation Portable (PSP), with all mobile phone features, a long battery life, all PDA features, at least a 3-megapixel camera, mobile TV functionality, and good speakers with a large storage capacity for music.

Is there a buy you regret having spent so much money on?

I bought a touch-screen Windows mobile phone which was very expensive. It's an excellent phone with a lot of functionality but poor battery life for my use. I also found it cumbersome as personally I like devices with single-hand use, and hence a stylus-based phone is complicated.

Who's your one-stop gadget guru?

My Japanese and Italian friends keep me updated about the latest gizmos being launched in the market. And I learn from trial and error. I am very pragmatic when it comes to gadgets and only focus on the functionality rather than fall head over heels in love with them.

Which is the one gadget that you have been waiting to buy?

Without doubt, the iPhone. I am waiting for it to be launched in India. I like its screen and overall functionality, and would like to test and use it.
