Grand Theft Auto 5 or GTA V made record sales of $800 million (~4,953.2 crore) on the first day on the shelves in US, Reuters said. Social media erupted in reaction, with questions again being raised on whether gaming leads to real-life violence. The series is termed ‘violent and controversial’ by a New York Times blog.
