"While gas suppliers such as GAIL India and Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd (GSPC) have tied up with Infosys and Energy Solutions respectively for their softwares, we have created a software for the user industries," said Rajesh Kumar, director, GSSPL. He said the company targets to sell this to at least 25 clients in the coming months.
"The software has been made by a team of nine professionals at Ahmedabad and it took about eight months to complete the project," he added.
The software, called the "Gas Contract Management System" (GCMS), can meet complex requirements of direct industrial gas consumers who buy gas from various suppliers such as GAIL or GSPC. The software is designed to handle various types of contracts made between the buyers and seller.
"The application is scalable and is parameterised to collect and analyse information of Gas Sales Agreement (GSA)," said Kumar.
The software is also capable of generating nomination invoices, scheduling at pre-defined frequencies and keeps track of daily received quantity, seller shortfall, planned shutdown, upward and downward flexibility and the like.
"Moreover, it has got an aesthetic user interface and is extremely user friendly besides having a well-defined user administration for security purpose," Kumar said.
GSSPL is also working towards incorporate Gas Transport Agreement (GTA) and integrating GCMS with the logic control systems to capture the real time quantity of supply of gas to the industrial consumers, said Kumar.
Some key features of the GCMS are that it can handle multiple contracts with single seller or multiple sellers, can accommodate multiple delivery points in single contract, records of assets of both parties can be maintained.
GSSPL caters to a wide range of clients. The company believes in providing cost-effective solutions and implementing cutting edge technology to the diversified needs of our clients.
