The portal on Monday also said it had expanded into 101 cities across India from 55 earlier. Housing.com’s expansion encompasses metros as well as tier II cities with its recent foray across Visakhapatnam, Kanpur, Ludhiana, Rajahmundry, Panchkula, Coimbatore, Vijayawada, Tiruchirappalli, Thiruvanthapuram, Nellore, Ambala, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Rohtak, Jodhpur, Bilaspur, Varanasi, Ranchi, Jabalpur and Goa.

“Our mission is to build an ecosystem that simplifies home buyers’ and sellers’ realty experience enabling consumers to make faster and informed decisions. With our robust presence in over 101 cities, we strive to partner with customers in their house hunting experience by offering them comprehensive real estate solutions backed by our superior technology, easy-to-navigate platform and unique products,” said Rishabh Gupta, chief operating officer (COO), Housing.com

In the recent years, the Indian real estate sector has attracted significant investments owing to rapid urbanisation, varied demographics and rising income levels.

Apart from metros, India’s Tier-II cities have shown immense potential and are increasingly becoming investment hubs backed by rapid growth and substantial cost advantage - in terms of land prices and manpower.

Further, the pro-growth reforms recently introduced by the Government and its impetus to infrastructure upgrades, policies on SEZs, National Investment Manufacturing Zone (NIMZs) and improving public transport, airports, etc. are some of the key factors encouraging growth.

Some new features on Housing.com include polygon and sub-locality search and features in the pipeline include search by building and road names. Housing.com had recently partnered with Google Now to provide information to users before they searched for it. The portal has attracted over 11 million visits in April, highest amongst all online real estate portals in India.
