Info Edge (India), promoter of leading job portal naukri.com, would launch 'firstnaukri.com' for entry-level hiring. The company is also in the process of introducing more features and innovations for its other websites, including realty portal 99acres.com and matrimonial portal jeevansathi.com, to combat the slowdown in revenues.
The company requires close to Rs 7-12 lakh to put together a website.
Speaking to Business Standard, Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Info Edge co-founder and CEO, said, "We are in the process of announcing our new job portal for freshers, firstnaukri.com. The purpose of launching firstnaukri.com is to connect first time job seekers and campuses to potential employers. Initially we will use our naukri.com database and sell firstnaukri.com to the same clients. We will gradually expand to include internship offers, campus placements, part-time jobs, and other features."
