KPIT Cummins inks deal with Business Objects

KPIT Cummins Infosystems and the Paris-based global business intelligence giant, Business Objects, have signed a customer support agreement.
 
According to a KPIT press release, the company will provide back-end customer support system for Business Objects customers worldwide. The initial engagement would be serviced by its BPO subsidiary, KPIT Cummins Global Business Solutions.
 
"Business Objects is the latest addition to our star customers. This engagement is very strategic one for us as business intelligence has always been a focused area and France remains a focused geography for us ," said Kishor Patil, chief executive officer & managing director, KPIT Cummins.
 
"We are very excited about the improved level of service we will be able to offer our customers because of this partnership. We feel that customer support should be a competitive advantage and KPIT and Infostep will help us make that happen," said David Gallaway, group vice-president, worldwide customer support, Business Objects.
 
KPIT Cummins has a major presence in manufacturing, advanced technology solutions in automotive, industrial automation, semiconductor solutions and diversified financial services verticals.
 
The company has grown at over 70 per cent over the past three years. Business Objects has 30,000 customers in 30 countries - including over 80 per cent of the Fortune 500 companies- and a network of more than 3,000 partners and resellers.
