Kwick Soft Solutions, a Chennai-based software company which provides solutions in the area of visualisation and simulation has launched Kwick ViSiM, a suite of virtual reality services, solutions and applications powered by their indigenously developed 3D graphics rendering engine.

According to a company release, the engine is an object-oriented 3D graphics rendering engine designed to facilitate rapid prototyping and development of visualisation, simulation, business applications, games or anything that requires 3D with a high degree of interactivity.

The suite does not require high-end hardware and can run on commonly available desktops with an inexpensive 3D graphics card and on different versions of Windows, Linux and UNIX platforms. The prime markets will be the US, UK, Germany, Middle East and India.

"Kwick ViSiM will initially focus on vast opportunity segments of manufacturing, aeronautical, defence, tele-education, electronics, power, electrical, gas and oil and automotive," said E Muralidharan, chief (global marketing services) of Kwick Soft.

The global visualisation and simulation industry is estimated to reach $78 billion by 2008 from the $50 billion in 2004.
