Microsoft India appoints new GM for RTC

Microsoft India Development Centre (MIDC) has announced the appointment of Nagesh Pabbisetty as general manager of the Real Time Collaboration (RTC) group and the newly founded Engineering and Product Innovation Centre (EPIC).
 
Nagesh joins Microsoft from RealNetworks where most recently he was the vice-president, consumer products and support with full R&D and business responsibility for Real Player, the flagship product of the company. Nagesh has over seventeen years of varied experience in areas of consumer and business software and services.
 
Srini Koppolu, managing director, MIDC, said, "Microsoft has always believed in a strong leadership team. The intellectual property, products and services delivered out of MIDC in Hyderabad are crucial to the company's long term strategy and competitiveness. We are fortunate that Nagesh has joined the MIDC leadership team and will lead product and business innovation at RTC and EPIC".
 
Microsoft's increasing focus in the integrated communications space has prompted MIDC to identify the Real Time Collaboration Group as one of the most critical areas of product development.
 
Integrated Communications is a key component of Microsoft's overall collaboration strategy to provide software and services that enable people to connect and work together more effectively.
