Pricol Tech all set for US acquisitions

Pricol Technologies, the technology and product design service arm of the Coimbatore auto-component firm Pricol, is looking for acquisitions in the United States.
 
A S Ramaseshan, president and chief operating officer of Pricol Technologies, said, "We are still in our nascent stage and the acquisitions will be completed in the next 12 months to 18 months. We are eyeing companies that focus on strategic management and consultancy."
 
Pricol Technologies provides its IT services and consultancy to the companies in automotive, engineering design and manufacturing sectors. "We are focussing on these areas mainly because we have a good expertise in these sectors," he added.
 
The company concentrates on enterprise management and performance management. "In the area of performance management we have a tool developed in-house called 'Balanced Scorecard', which will track down the performance of various departments of a company and help them in their improvisation," Ramaseshan said.
 
The in-house tool, which had a soft launch a month ago, will be aggressively marketed over the next six months, all over the state.
 
Pricol Technologies already has two offices abroad. The one at Detroit, US is a fully-owned subsidiary of the company whereas at Stuttgart,Germany they have a sales office to market their products. Presently, the company has a staff strength of 150 employees.
