In an effort to catch up with major mobile players in Himachal Pradesh, Reliance Infocomm today launched a "three-year free incoming offer" for customers in the state.

The Reliance chief for Himachal, Himanshu Kapania, said here, "With the starting of this facility, customers need not worry about the expiry of validity date for the next three years. The company has also launched a "Reliance Jackpot" offer on the handset LG 2530 for those subscribers who use their mobile phones primarily for incoming calls. For outgoing calls, the subscriber has the additional convenience of recharging the phone for barely Rs 10."

"The offer is only available on the latest pre-provisioned LG 2530 handset, priced at Rs 2,999. This is a light-weight handset with several features," he said.

The initial talk time available will be Rs 50. Subscribers will get incoming calls from within Himachal for a time-period of three years without recharging.

Reliance Infocomm launched its services fifteen months ago, and has already expanded its services to 56 prominent spots across the state, including several popular resort and industrial towns.

Of the 550,000 mobile connections in the state, Airtel leads with 300,000 subscribers, followed by BSNL at around 200,000. The rest of the market is shared by Tata Indicom, Reliance Telecom, and Reliance Infocomm.
