| "The IT services industry, of late, has been moving from a volume-based to value-based business. So far, our success is measured in terms of our business volumes and the number of people that we employ. However, we have a well-orchestrated derisking strategy in place and expect CoEs such as these (life sciences) to contribute significantly to our nonlinear growth model, which tends to be more sustainable," Kishore Rachapudi, global head (life sciences), Satyam, said. |
| CoEs, in the life sciences case, has helped Satyam acquire three new customers during the last quarter, he added. At present, life sciences vertical contributes 6 per cent to the company's topline. The company has about 26 customers in life sciences. |
